Apprenticeship and Traineeship Employment Partners (ATEP) has made a funding pool available in the 2016/17 year to support individual secondary school students (for up to $500 per student) who wish to pursue an accredited vocational program as part of their VET or VCAL studies in 2017.
Support is in the form of re-imbursement of expenses incurred in undertaking vocational studies, including School Based Apprenticeships & Traineeships (SBAT) and VET & VCAL in Schools programmes. Examples of subject related expenses which are eligible for reimbursement are training materials fees associated with TAFE colleges and other registered training organisations, protective clothing required in the workplace and travel expenses associated with delivery or participation.
Note: Course Enrolment Fees are ineligible and excluded from consideration.
Applications are to be directed to your school VET or VCAL Coordinator for endorsement and on forwarding to ATEP, and will be accepted up until 6th February 2017. Applications will be considered on the basis of demonstrated need for financial support.
