SBAT Community Employment Program 2015

Another success story: 91 School Based Apprentices (SBAT’s) started with us this month and will finish the year with a Certificate 2 in Parks & Gardens.

These programs offer a genuine developmental experience that supports each student in

  • best understanding what is required of them to successfully transition from school to work when their time comes to do so and
  • how to sustain employment (being reliable and productive) whilst completing their secondary schooling.

Participating schools this year are once again Korumburra, Carrum Downs, Westernport, Berendale and Marnebek but also newcomers Mornington and Emerson with a couple of students from other schools joining in (Ashwood, Montague, Mount Eliza and South Gippsland SC).

We are also excited to welcome on board a new training provider in Advance, and look forward to a fruitful collaboration.

Most of all good luck to our young apprentices!
