ATEP Awards Night 2015 – celebrating 2014 achievements!
Our Awards Night was held last Friday May 1st at the Yarra Yarra Golf Club in Bentleigh East.
The format: a 3 course meal, Michael Pope as MC, sponsors & VIPs, 3 nominees with their host employers from each award category, 8 categories, official presentations, games, prizes & entertainment… a great night “the best yet” we heard some say!
The Award Categories, Nominees and Winners (in bold):
Best School Based Apprentice/Trainee: Brianna Rose Lines (tourism @ Frankston Visitor Centre), Brodie Johnstone (plumber @ Good Constructions) and Cameron Broadby (mechanic @ Patterson Cheney).
Best Trainee: Mikaela Witherow (education support @ Tarwin Valley PS, Ned Vincent (business admin @ City of Casey) and Aimee Grinter (Customer Contact @ Help me Choose).
Best 1st Year Apprentice: Elizabeth Watson (arborist @ Arbor Concepts), Brock Fisher (carpenter @ Good Constructions) and Paris Larman (carpenter @ Good Constructions).
Best 2nd Year Apprentice: Jay Cottle (cabinet maker @ Oakwood Kitchens), Sam Hobbs (mechanic @ Patterson Cheney) and Dore Shiffman (mechanic @ Astoria Honda Centre).
Best 3rd Year Aprentice: Jack Shearer (landscaper @ JGS Landscapes), Ali Dad Haidari (mechanic @ Patterson Cheney) and Dominic Barker (carpenter @ BDG Constructions).
Best 4th Year Apprentice: Riza Zahir (mechanic @ Patterson Cheney), Travis de Fontenay (carpenter @ BTR Constructions) and Daniel Selir (carpenter @ Retone Home Improvements).
Best Overall Apprentice – Mal Foster Memorial Award: Andrew Johnstone (plumber @ Good Constructions), Robert Mallison (joiner @ Stegbar) and Daniel Selir (carpenter at Retone Home Improvements).
Best Overall Host Employer – Neil Hamilton Honorary Award: Retone Home Improvements, Noble Park English Language School and Stegbar.
We also congratulate the 137 Apprentices and Trainees who graduated in 2014.
